Social Media

We are working hard to connect with the you, yes you!

Kelly and I have seen a increase in the number of businesses with a great social media presence. Though most of our local businesses use social media, when it comes to cleaning companies, its few and far between. Not only is social media a fun way to interact and keep up with locals, it also connects us to people we would likely never get the opportunity to reach. Most people with smart phones are checking their Twitter and Facebook accounts every chance they get,
so why do companies pass up on this amazing free opportunity?

To answer that question, I would have to say they are either not yet on the internet (likely a company that doesn't e-mail or have a website, and yes they are still around), or most unfortunately they simply don't care about interacting with you. Sadly a business that doesn't care about your life enough to reach out to you, is a business that won't care about the service they are providing you. We have seen this first hand.

I can not stress to you enough how important it is for us to be ahead of other businesses in this social and relational realm, and to be constantly pushing forward to stay relevant to the people in whom you are desiring to serve. Not only have Kelly and I seen the importance of being relevant to our customers in our business, but we also strive to do our best in our own personal lives to be people moving forward. Yes, we may not have the coolest cars or the biggest home, but we give everything in our lives 110% of our effort. Interacting with our community is a vital step to making our business/ and lives relatable and real to you.

CLEAN.(@thecleanco) is new to Twitter, well at least a year in, so we are still learning how to provide content you are interested in. My wife/ Owner and Operator as well is even newer, but seems to be coming along just great. She tweets a lot about local food, business, and me which is my favorite. you can follow her here,
(@citychickenchickenstl)

Someone recently gave me a tip that I have found to be the most valuable tip to making our business sucessfull. She said be yourself in your business. Simple, and easy to do. She obviously is a genius! When we are ourselves, our passion for our business and people flows out naturally. Manufacturing a fake personality that is generic and not really you, but only business, is the biggest mistake you can make. I can guarantee you people will see through the facade.

If your follow CLEAN. on Twitter, you may have noticed we tweet about things other than business. Not because we don't have enough business to tweet about, but because we have a life to that is filled with so much more than making money from our business. We want to you to know we are inviting you into our lives as well as our business, because once again, our lives are where the passion comes from.

More than anything, we would love to connect with you! Your comments and feedback ARE SO valuable to us.

Though we are a business, we are still real people, living real lives, loving our city and its people.
WE PROMISE to be the best cleaning company you know. Thanks for reading!

At CLEAN., We love seeking out and supporting small companies that have the passion for their company and personal connection to their customers, yet maintain the professionalism and level of resources that are usually found in larger companies. There is nothing that gives us more confidence in using a service provided by an owner who is personally involved and invested in his/her company. And since these are the things we love to see in the companies we use, that is what we strive to be for our customers.

Too many times when using larger companies, we find we are always speaking with someone different, or dealing with a constant turnover of new employees that have no real connection to us and our specific needs. Though they usually have more resources and a stronger branding, they typically aren't too worried about losing your support and business because they feel that there is always someone out there willing to take your place. This is their loss, that they are willing to sacrifice.

Small companies give you the attention and care that you need, but often times are not delivering a uniquely polished or current product. At times we notice a level of professionalism that can sometimes be lacking in the overall appearance, or hindered by a slow, outdated style of communication.

So what do we do at CLEAN. to combine the best of both worlds?
We value our clients, and value the personal contact that we are able to have with each of our clients and potential clients. Those seeking our services have the benefit of working directly with us, the owners. When you send an email, text, or make a phone call, your contacting us directly. Your not reaching a switchboard or call center, but the individuals that are most invested in the success and reputation of CLEAN.
And, we are constantly working to create a company that is pushing forward, to keep our services, products, and methods relevant and fresh. Determined to build a company that expresses our passion for what we do, we make every effort to pursue improvements of what we do and how we do it. Though we are a small, family run business, we pursue our dreams with fire and intention.

-Sincerely

Maybe you've noticed our new look, or maybe you have heard us bragging about the Graphic Designer we collaborated with. Or possibly this is the first your hearing of it. But, indeed, CLEAN. has a new logo. A fresh, new look to go with the the focus and emphasis our company has developed into over these first two years of business. We were lucky enough to find a great Graphic Designer, Melissa Kaatman-Boettge, who worked with us to find just the right logo. And you can see that new logo on our Home Page.
We can't say enough wonderful things about Melissa. She took our scattered thoughts and pieced together numerous ideas for us to find the right direction we wanted to take. Then she was so patient and creative in helping us fine-tune that look. The end result is a culmination of so much time and effort, to express the most important aspects of CLEAN.'s culture, vision, and future. For many, a glance at our logo, or any logo, may appear to express the most obvious aspects of CLEAN., and work to brand us. But many of the intricacies entombed in the logo are never fully seen, but they do play a role. It can be the softest undercurrent, or they may lend only the smallest detail, but those intricacies do matter. And it was a blessing and great fun to work with a designer who understood that and had an eye for both the smallest details, and the grand scheme.
So, if anyone is in need of a GREAT Graphic Designer, we recommend Melissa Kaatman-Boettge. You can find her on LinkedIn here (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/melissa-kaatman-boettge/16/943/942).
Tell her CLEAN. sent you!

At CLEAN. we strive to be a LOW-IMPACT company

What does "low-impact" mean?
It means that we use products and tools that have a lower environmental impact, as well as a lower economic impact.

What does that mean for our clients?
For our environmentally conscious clients, it means you are choosing a company that provides an amazing quality job, while making cleaning safer for you and our environment. And for ALL of our clients, it means that as a company, we work to keep our overhead costs low to provide you great services at a reasonable rate. And we have found that through natural products and re-useable items we can keep our costs lower.

That sounds awesome! Give us some examples...
Well, for example, we prefer to use natural, cotton cleaning cloths instead of disposable paper products, whenever possible. (but, for cleaning certain areas, we feel it is more hygienically important to use disposable products). We also try to use as many NATURAL products as possible. Whenever possible, we try to avoid harsh chemicals. We prefer to create many of our own products using such natural components as Vinegars, Baking Soda, Lemon Juice, Borax, and Hydrogen Peroxide to name a few. Also, you can rest easy knowing that the products we create go through much research on our part, and testing in our own home, before we bring them into yours.

So you don't use any chemical products?
No, we do use some chemical products. Specifically on very difficult tasks, or at the request of our clients we will use chemical products. We will also use bleach to ensure hygienic safety in certain areas of the home if necessary.

Is NATURAL better for my home and furniture?
Absolutely! Natural products are far gentler on surfaces and textures, such as, stone and wood. Chemicals can be corrosive over time and use. Just think about how your hands feel after you have used chemical cleaning products. They can also produce harsh fumes. Natural is better for you, for your things, and for us (since we spend so much time working with them!)

Great! BUT, I really prefer XYZ product for my marble/stainless steel/fill in the blank...
That is OK! At CLEAN, we desire to tailor each cleaning to the client. If you would rather we use specific products that you provide, we have no problem using them, just let us know!
